Function and Purpose of Sart

– It is capable of detecting the pulse action through the navigation radar installed on a search and rescue vessel or a helicopter. The signal from SART can indicate exact position of the SART on the fluorescent screen of navigation radar of the search and rescue vessel of the helicopter.

– The survivor who holds a SART or a ship or boat in distress where a SART is equipped can discover the search and rescue vessel or helicopter that is approaching them.
